Electricity North West is replacing the existing 132kV air insulated substation with a green gas gIS Solution. the G3 GIS is a 23 bays substation with 6 no. infeed super grid transformers each 240MVA owned by national grid.

REDAS is delivering the Protection & Control works for the overall 132kV busbar protection, feeder protection & Control system for the ENWL owned bays, the overall substation data acquisition system and tele-protection system. our team has been developing the solution to the latest client specifications, ENATS’s, TGN’s & NGTS’s. 

later this year REDAS team will be taking on the validation & factory acceptance testing with the customer to verify the design and functionality of the protection & Control system before dispatch for site installation.
